The Oslo Opera House is home to the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet. It’s made of glass and Italian marble and white granite, which is supposed to make it look like it’s rising out of the water.

The roof of the building angles to the ground, making easy for visitors walk around and to the top of the building to enjoy the panoramic city and harbor views. Believe it or not, skateboarders are allowed to use certain areas, although I’m not sure why they’d want to since the marble & granite are very slippery!

I must admit that this building is utterly stunning during the hours, and less so during the daytime without the lights and reflection on the water. (at Operahuset)

This is my nephew, Lane, riding the mechanical bull yesterday at the Poway Rodeo in San Diego.

“This is my favorite shot,” he said and explained: “My hand is relaxed up in the air, my legs are hugging the bull’s body so I won’t fall, and my eyes are locked on his head so I can predict which way he’s going to turn.” All this from an 8 1/2 year old! Yes, he wanted to make sure y’all knew about the 1/2 because he’s soon to be 9. 😂

I just love my family! Yesterday we were at the rodeo and had a blast, but today we were dragged to the symphony by my aunt and it was not so fun! Luckily we were able to escape at half time. Or maybe it’s called intermission?
